Nantucket Surfside Beach House

"The colors of morning mist, foggy late afternoons and clear days adorn the interiors of this very hip, architecturally designed beach home still lending a presence of the old. A collaborative adventure with BPC Architecture and Cross Rip Builders, Rhett DuPont features visual and sensual forms. The textures, furnishings and lighting lend a style of casual elegance with a flair of femininity juxtaposed to the strong lines in the architectural field."

Hello Surfside Chic!
Nantucket has some seriously amazing Beach Houses…
I mean… serious.
As a lover of Nantucket, of course I was drawn to this lovely home.
I recently returned from  trip to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, & Boston.
I'll post photos of my trip soon, along with some great suggestions on
where to stay and eat.  In the meantime, here are some
fantastic photos of this amazing collaboration between

Florida Beach House by Balfoort Architecture + Beach Chic Design

Love. Love. Love!
This Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida home is pure perfection.
With it's casual and elegant vibe, both indoors and out,
it is an all-around incredible tropical getaway!
Designed by architect Michelle Balfoort, interiors by Beach Chic Design,
and photographed by Adam Cohen.
The exterior of the home is so lovely, timeless, and inviting.
The pool area is an entertaining dream, and the interior is completely amazing.
With clean lines, white and bright pallet, natural wood ceilings, natural beachy
elements scattered throughout the home, beautiful tile work,
and a dash of modern design-- this style screams perfection in my eyes!

Natural Inspiration from Domino Magazine

Fell in love with Lauren Liess' home which was featured in Domino Magazine last month.
Lauren has a wonderful design blog where she has featured her
home renovation on her blog.
It is AM-AAAA-ZING!
My favorite item in her home is her custom sputnik chandelier.
I really, really need one in my home.
I'm always a sucker for the mix of white + natural wood and
Lauren's home is pure perfection.

love the wood ceiling, metal table, and global light fixture in the dining room,
and the library is relaxed and inviting, with fantastic butcher block IKEA
counters used as shelves… genius.

Rachel Bilson's Bohemian Midcentury Home

Rachel Bilson's stylin' home was featured in Lonny Magazine last fall.
She claims she's always loved the Parker Palm Springs kind of look,
and that comes out in her style.
She collaborated with designer Kishani Perera to create a bohemian, mid-century laid back, comfortable, and inviting home.  I love the small and eclectic details to Rachel's place,
and thatlarge, navy sofa is a perfect, shinny statement piece for the main room.

LA Spanish Colonial Revival Redo

This classic Spanish Colonial Revival built in 1926 is owned by the furniture designer Glenn Lawson. This living room is pretty spectacular. From the crisp black and white, to the natural beams, art and furniture. I feel like there is a fantastic balance that makes this room quite inviting.

Located in LA, California, the furniture designer, Glenn Lawson contacted his friends, David John Dick and Krista Schrock from DISC Interiors, to work with him on designing his home.  They all share a passion for artisanal craft, which is reflected in their design.  They used a collection of works from 21st century Los Angeles artisans and combined the decor with midcentury furniture.
